STANDARD 6(3) and STANDARD 5 COMBINED: 1954

NO PHOTO

I believe that there is another Standard 6 Class photo which has not been discovered. I have arrived at this conclusion after comparing the three Standard 5 photos with the two Standard 6 photos on the KNS1954 website. I suspect that some Standard 6 pupils from the 1954 Class were combined with a Standard 5 from the 1955 Class.

Comparing the three Standard 5 photos with the two Standard 6 photos it can be seen that several of those in the Standard 5 photos are not in either of the Standard 6 photos. This begs the question "Why not?"

Here are the names of the 13 individuals who appear in the Standard 5 photos but not in the Standard 6 Photos.

(not in a Standard 5 photo)

There are only three reasons why these Standard 5 pupils do not appear in either of the Standard 6 photos:
  1. They were away from school on the day the photo was taken.
  2. They went to another school.
  3. They are in another class photo.
Gail left KNS to go to Fendalton Primary School in Christchurch; Mavis tells me that she was in Standard 6(1) but missed the class photo; I'm sure Ronnie Moss was in Standard 6(1) also, and therefore he must have missed the photo. But what about the other ten? I think they were in a combined Standard 5 and Standard 6 Class. Any information on this is of course most welcome.
